Rules

No Zone Defenses for 4th 5th & 6th grade teams.  Man press is allowed the last two minutes of the game.  If the winning team is up by 10 or more points they cannot press.  The losing team can press the entire two minutes.  

Pressing is allowed in 7th and 8th Grade.  No pressing for the winning team if they are up by 10 points or more.

Games will have two 18-minute halfs with a running clock – Clock will stop for timeouts, injuries, and the last 2 minutes of the game only if the score is within 15 points.

First overtime period will be sudden death; first to score is the winner.  The overtime period will start with a jump ball.  

Teams are allowed 3 timeouts per game and 1 timeout for sudden death overtime.

Half time will be 5 minutes or less depending on time availability.

Game time is forfeit time.  Please be at your designated court a minimum of 15 minutes prior to game time.

All teams must have uniform shirts with visible numbers on them.

Good sportsmanlike conduct is a must.  Head coaches are responsible for actions of their players, assistant coaches, and parents.  Remember, technical fouls can be awarded to the bench (i.e., head coach) should a player, assistant coach, and/or a fan/parent get out of hand.

Game Balls, 4th-6th boys and 4th through 8th girls will use the official high school girl’s ball.  7th, and 8th boys will use the official high school boy’s ball.
